Course Overview
In this course, you’ll learn to:
- Understand the definitions and types of abuse and neglect (including physical, emotional, financial, and psychological)
- Identify early warning signs and indicators of harm
- Respond appropriately to disclosures and suspected cases
- Follow mandatory reporting procedures and legal obligations
- Create safe environments and support protective factors for participants
- Know your duty of care, ethical boundaries, and reporting responsibilities
This training promotes preventive and reactive behaviours, where the participants are sufficiently empowered to act ethically and quickly in protecting vulnerable persons.
